ABOUT BACKUP POWER

The KOHLER backup generator system includes the generator, automatic transfer switch, battery charger and distribution panel. The most important element of your KOHLER backup power system, that automatiic transfer switch, continually monitors power for an interruption. If power fails, the transfer switch automatically starts the generator, transfers the electrical loads and restores power to your home. When utility power resumes, the transfer switch reverses the process automatically; there is nothing you have to turn on or off.

A standby generator is permanently installed outdoors, similar to an air-conditioning unit. It operates on your home's existing fuel source: natural gas or liquid propane (LP). It can also be hidden by bushes or other landscaping.

The KOHLER automatic residential generator costs much less than what you may think, compared to the costs associated with a flooded basement, spoiled food, and critical damage to electronics!
